Floor Plans & Layout Design
A successful San Ramon home addition or remodel starts with a layout that makes the existing and new spaces work together. We design floor plans for bedroom and bathroom additions, kitchen expansions, primary suites, and larger remodels. In one of our projects, we worked on an approximately 1,800 sq. ft. remodel and addition, reworking the existing layout while incorporating new living space.
Exterior Elevations
For an addition, we look at how the new space will connect to the existing home's exterior, including rooflines, windows, doors, and overall height. Our addition and remodel permit plans include elevations that clearly show the proposed changes for permit review. Our 1,800 sq. ft. remodel and addition is one example where the new and existing portions of the home needed to come together as one cohesive design.
Setbacks & Buildable Space
Before designing a home addition in San Ramon, we review the property lines, zoning, lot space, and required setbacks to understand where the home can realistically expand. On our 1,800 sq. ft. remodel and addition, evaluating the available buildable area was part of developing a design that worked with the existing property and the proposed expansion.
